DIY Gel Room Deorderizer

Today's Tip:  4   March   2013

Someone shared a post about making own room deodorizer!  It's quick easy and inexpensive to make too and it works!  

1) Find either jars or decorative containers to up cycle.

2)   1 package of unflavored gelatin 

3)   Food coloring is optional

4)   Flower Petals

5)   Salt

6)   Pan

7)    Spoon

8)    Essential oil or your oils of choice, or liquid potpourri

Put in pan 1 cup of water per 1 envelope of  gelatin, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, bring to boil, add food color of your choice, add essential oil or liquid potpourri, stir and once gelatin is dissolved pour into containers (optional to add artificial flowers) let sit usually really in an hour !  They last for about a month!

Coke can boaquet!

MIA from this blog due to making changes in my life! 1) Daughter graduated High School, got employment and moved out.  2) Daughter and boyfriend where offered employment and both took new employment positions and moved away thousands miles away and left their puppy to care for!

 3) Trying and learning who I am again without daughter here. 4) Dealing with grief and emotional  healing! 5) Getting apartment painted and sorting through things. 6) Working on completing other projects I have started. 7) Learning some new skills!

TODAY'S TIP:   For those who have an aquarium and want to change the fishes scenary.  An inexpensive way is foil wrapping paper or a paper you like.

Today's Tip: We've all came home from a restaurant with a plastic container of what we could not eat. Instead of throwing out the container reuse it Next time your invited to a BBQ or someones house for dinner. Last week I was invited to go to a BBQ. So, I made up a vegetable tray and reused one of the take out containers, 1) I did not have to worry about getting my dish back 2) It was great for travel because it had a lid on it. 3) If there were any left overs the host/ess did not have to worry about finding something to put them in because it was already in a dish with a lid!
